Baylor TEAL Tool Training
Are you a Baylor Engineering Freshman?
Baylor Engineering Freshmen are invited to complete their in-person tool training with Maker’s Edge Creation Studio. This training is required in order to gain access to the TEAL Residential College Makerspace.
During the session, students will receive hands-on instruction on three essential tools: the Compound Miter Saw, the Drill Press, and the Blade Runner Jigsaw Table. Training will be conducted at the TEAL Residential College Makerspace, and all students are encouraged to register today to reserve their spot.
If you have any questions about the training, please reach out directly to the Maker’s Edge Staff, who will be happy to provide details and guidance.
Please note that all safety procedures must be followed during training. Students are required to wear closed-toed shoes—sandals, Crocs, or any type of open-toed footwear are not permitted. Long chains or loose jewelry that could snag on tools are also prohibited, and long hair must be tied back before entering the workspace. Safety goggles will be provided at the space and must be worn at all times. Prescription glasses alone do not qualify as proper PPE, so all students are expected to use the goggles supplied.
